no, because each progressive upgrade of a particular resource is less cost efficient then the previous one. Meaning that this would actually churn out far less resources in the long run. And that is completely ignoring the cost of upgrading the market, and delivery time between merchants when you are exchanging resources.

Yes, you can trade resources like that. My market has been at level 2 for a long time now, and I havn't really had the need to upgrade it any further, although it would have been helpful a few times. I've purchased resources only once or twice, and I've made a little extra change here and there marking my resources up (ie putting up 300 stone and having somebody buy it for 400 wood).

no, this is a terrible idea because resources, not time, will hold you up early in the game.

I get it now... waiting an hour just to have the resources to upgrade crap is annoying as hell.... oh well...

go into the rankings and search for peoples' names. then you can look at their city and where they are located. New players are put at the edge of the map because the inner part of the map is full of tougher, older, experienced players.

I figured out how to locate people on the map.. and from what I can tell I'm not near much of anybody... oh well.

I'm all for being in a serious tribe for World 2.. sounds like that starts pretty soon.

It seems that the warehouse should also be upgraded a couple levels.. since it looks like at level 4-5 it will fill in about 8 hours... factoring in some sleeping here and there.. it seems that would be a good place to start at.. since you can drain it throughout the day and then let it get near to max while you are sleeping.

Leaving it at Level 3.. would mean your coffers are filled and you would be unable to attain extra resources... just a thought.

haha, you know you can put more than one contruction in the building queue right? You can do two with no penalty than the third has a 25% markup in materials and the 4th has like 56%.

I definatlely think that upgrading the timber and clay is the only thing you need to worry about with maybe a couple upgrades to the warehouse. Im upgrading my headquarters for the first time, just because its gonna be awhile before i have the resources for another big upgrade.

In all honesty, I think the FTR tribe is a great idea for world 2, but it's really going to be an uphill battle in world 1, given that the game is pretty well established already.

I'm hoping in world 2 we can get a nice core of guys to join at similar times so we can be in roughly the same area (not 100% sure how well this would work, but I think it's are best shot), so we can pretty much dominate that area before branching out later in the game.

Once the last of my troops get back from a raid (4 minutes), I'm launching an all-out attack on a guy to my northwest named Dragon_slayer, city name 'the gates of heaven'. He's in a pretty large tribe, and is apparantly the 'training ground' for a pretty strong tribe, which they are obviously allied with.

I've been scouting this guy a lot and he has a nasty habit of letting resources stockpile while leaving no guys in to protect himself.

I'm hoping I plunder 7,000 or so of his resources (max this force can carry) with no losses. Last scout had 9k or so plunderable resources, but a lot of it was stone, whereas i'd prefer the other 2, but no biggie.

If he spends a bunch of his money and I provoke a war and don't get the money, that would be a disaster, especially since the tribe leader already told me not to attack him.

If he unluckily has a big force or something returning before I get there, that would be a huge disaster.

I think everything will go fine though.

No loyalties in world one. If your going to keep playing here as well you need to look after yourself. This sounds like the best plan. The new world opens at 2pm server time which is 1 hr ahead of GMT. I'll let you figure out the rest.

New world starts Saturday Jul 22 at 14:00 server time, which is 6 hours ahead of EST, so 8:00am EST. That's probably too early for some, especially those on the west coast. It's perfect for the FTRers across the lake. How we're going to organize the signup, I'm not sure. I kind of liked bigred's idea although I think 5 hours is a bit much. We have a couple days to think about it, though.

The start will be this Saturday (July 22nd) at 14:00 server time.
There will be no change to world 1!
Every player that plays on world 1 is welcome to ALSO play on world 2. So is every new player of course. You can either use the account you already have (You just login with your name and password as soon as world 2 has started). Or you can create a new account to play with another name.
But please only play one account per world!
If you want to play but won't have time on that day, don't worry, you will not have any disadvantage if you start a few days later!

Im on EST as well and i think going at something like 11 or noon, which would be 3 and 4 hours after the startup would be. I dont wake up at 8 so thats gonna be a no go for me anyways. I think im gonna play world one for a week or so after world 2 starts just so i can get the hang of it and if i fuck up i want it to be in world 1.

Also, Once you start progressing in the game, it becomes a lot more involved then when you first start, so those that are playing and continue to play in world 1 to help for world 2 are definately going to be at an advantage compared to the others. Just something I thought I'd point out.

You can but I don't think it's the smartest use of resources. I've been playing for 3 days and I haven't even built a barracks yet, I've just been upgrading my resource production.
