    Default Week 5 NFL

The Chiefs are going to get beat down by the Carolina Panthers today. Yeah, yeah, they beat Denver in a nicely played game last week but that was beyond an aberation. If they win four more games this year I will be shocked. We're looking like poop so far on our first drive so they're living up to my expectations (just punted from the back of our endzone)...

Brodie Croyle is close to healthy, and that scares the shit out of me because Damon Huard is (holy shit I can't believe I'm saying this) our best QB. Actually, it doesn't scare me really, we're going to be pretty bad this year no matter what.....but with Croyle as QB we are lolbad.

Philly vs. Washington is pretty huge, not many other big games beyond that......what else is up for Week 5?

Tony Gonzalez owns the record for receptions, touchdowns, and receiving yards. too bad the dude has never won a playoff game, and it's looking like he may never be able to do that

The skins beat the boys, the boys beat the iggles, and the iggles are beating the skins... good god my head hurts.
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes

yeah, you see stuff like this in football all the time though.. like in weeks 1-3, the jets, patriots, and dolphins all beat each other and the road team won all 3. When college football has it's annual BCS controversy, it's why you can't say.. this team beat this team who beat this team, etc... because it just doesn't matter. Strength of schedule means a lot more, IMO.

it's funny in college football when they say some random small school is the true national champion because they beat so and so, who beat so and so, who beat so and so, and on and on.......

fuuuuuck the Chiefs are so bad. Damon Huard, who normally does an ok job, but nothing great, just looks HORRIBLE. 24-0 Panthers, but it should probably be more. We could pull a switch and put in Tyler Thigpin, but he's even worse.........Brodie Croyle, our savior, is hurt but he's 0-7 as a starter so it wouldn't matter anyway. we are the epitome of suck.

Titans are a great team.. just imagine how sick they'd be with a good QB. Vince Young is a whiny crybaby quitter, and Kerry Collins is a game manager at best.

Defense forces lots of turnovers though, which makes up for some of the shortcomings in the passing game. But seriously, just imagine if Pacman Jones and Vince Young would have worked out.

The Browns were overrated last year... cake schedule (played NFC west and AFC east), and about as good of an injury situation as you could possibly hope for. For example, on offense, there was only one major injury.. RG Mckinney went on IR about half-way through the season and quite honestly, Tucker was probably an upgrade anyway. Defense fared pretty well too, just lacked talent.

They also had some miracle wins.. Seattle and @Baltimore off the top of my head. In fairness, they also had some heart-breaking losses.

This year has just been a disaster... I don't even know where to start. Suffice it to say, the team simply wasn't ready for prime time, the coach has terrible game management, doesn't get the team fired up, we lack quality depth due to poor drafting over the last decade, key offensive players missing lots of time due to injury, yada yada yada, but at least we beat the lowly bengals without Carson Palmer... barely.

D Anderson has struggled mightily since about halfway last year. He's played like one good quarter all year.. Q4 against the Bengals, and sadly it was probably just enough to save his job a little longer.

disarray is how i'd put it, hopefully they get it all together during the bye week, but everybody says that.
