It's nice to see Denver not have to score 75 points and win with a buzzer beater from 3 point land in order to win the game.

4-1 is pretty dominant. No one can argue that 4-1 isn't dominant.

What's best, is that the hard part of the Broncos Schedule is almost over. Theyve got some cake games in the 2nd half of the season, meanwhile, The chargers are pissing away the games they should be dominating.
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes

Love seeing the Ratbirds choke one away, and the Bungels back to where they belong. Big Bens pass to ward while being dragged down was SICK. Steelers have to be the favorite right now in the AFC because they seem to be the only team that has a defense that shows up every week.

Harrison + Woodley + a healthy Troy P. = LOTS of trouble for any team.

Go Steelers!! Enjoy the bye week and get healthy!!

i'm sorry, but there is literally no franchise more frustrating to root for in the past ten years than the eagles. at least with the lions you know you're getting a lump of shit in your stocking this year.

For a game so utterly dominated by the saints, vikes are up 17-10 with the ball. I feel bad for Brees. He's probably the best QB in the league right now.

For those not watching.. big mistakes and bad breaks. Lots.

I see where your coming from, but I think I'd still take four nfc championship appearances over 0 for the skins.

I honestly cannot believe how stupid McNabb is. How can you say after getting dominated for 55 of the 60 minutes of the game that "There is no way [The Redskins] are better than [The Eagles]." It's just ridiculous, I'm glad the medidiots jumped on him for it. When you win one divisional game you can start at least getting hopeful. An Eagles win was written all over this game, and they couldn't pull it out after leading 14-0 in the first 5 minutes. It's going to take a lot for them to leapfrog the redskins/cowboys/giants and make the playoffs.

LOL @ donovan. what a moron. man, that win is even more satisfying now, because mcnabb knows how much his team fucked up after owning the first drive and getting a retarded punt return td on that no-call, and now hes acting like a total bitch to reassure himself that the eagles are the best team in the NFC still.

there are much better things you can say that dont come across as an arrogant prick:

"they outplayed us today, but i feel confident we could beat them next time we play"
just one example out of many. the point is, after you get smacked at home and make an arrogant comment like that, you sound stupid.

i'm sorry isf, but the eagles are constantly predicted near the top of the nfc if not the top, but never perform, whether it be to injuries, or whatever. one of the biggest problems imo is andy reid. i think he's a -good- coach, but he seems so fucking inflexible and hasn't really evolved as a coach since he took over for the iggles. and we constantly get the stock response, like at wr before the season started, that we had what we needed. which is definitely untrue, minus desean jackson right now. don't try to dress up kevin curtis as a number one, it's not even close to correct. why the fuck did desean jackson not get more playing time sunday? greg lewis, lolz.

i could rant and rave for hours about them, but whatever, go phillies.

you should be sorry, because youre wrong! the eagles have had better results last 10 years than the redskins (im just gonig by the NFC championship #s, not sure of total record) but every year the redskins get hyped up in a different way. for a long time dan snyder was great at making the fans get super pumped up by bringing in high profile coaches and players.

eagles fans are just more negative than anyone other fanbase in the league (pretty sure every source ever backs me up on this) so you just like to think like that.
  25. #100
what? i've got very little negadelphian in me. yeah, no shit the iggles have had better results. unfortunately, championships are what count in football. no one gives a fuck about the bills going to four straight super bowls. it comes a time where there needs to be some delivery, but it never happens. the eagles are fucking fail.

So I've been looking at the power rankings on various sites and while there are a few FTR teams near the top (Skins, Steelers, Patriots), the bottom is just a big clusterfuck of bad FTR teams.

    FTR, we suck afaik.

    That's awesome, Bob.

Also, I really disagree with the idea that only championships matter. As long as my team is out there being competitive and playing hard, I'm happy. Ask Lukie whether he enjoyed the Cavs NBA Finals season more than the pre Lebron season when they were one of the worst teams in NBA history.

The Colts Super Bowl was awesome and I still get a huge grin every time I think about it, but it's just one of many great memories I have of watching the Colts in the last 10 years or so. The Eagles have had a great run too. Compare that to the teams like the Lions who have done nothing to speak of in the last 10 years, I think it's ridiculous to say being an Eagles fan is more frustrating than being a Lions fan.

Cliff notes: dthorne is just being another negative Philly fan.
  31. #106
zomg i'm not another negative philadelpha fan. i've been alive for 22 years and am yet to see a championship. (though I am a Pens fan, ship it.) i lived through the 1993 World Series, the 2004 Super Bowl, and the utter failure that's gone with it.

obviously people are going to enjoy it more when their team isn't complete suck, however, when your team is consistently regarded as a favorite, and then consistently underwhelms the fuck out of you for whatever reason, it gets old.

detroit has had the pistons and red wings, and christ, even the tigers really don't suck like they used to. the lions...well. crap.

i'm just on tilt because we're going into week 6 and nothing short of a miracle, and several meltdowns will get the eagles into the playoffs. i mean, if they run the table or damn near close, then yeah. the nfc east is sick stacked.

    </end rant>

If you think making 4 straight NFC championship games is underwhelming then you just have an unrealistic idea of the type of success that's possible in the NFL with the salary cap. It's not very common for a team to even make the playoffs 4 years in a row.

Agree 100%... figure in NFL terms, there are 32 team and only 1 is going to win the championship every year. As a fan, if you go into the season thinking that anything less than a championship is a failed season, you're just setting yourself up for headache and heartbreak.

A little bit ago, OSU lost to Florida in the title game, OSU lost to Florida in the basketball title game, Cavs lost to the Spurs in the NBA finals, Indians lost to the Red Sox in game 7 after having a 3-1 series lead with CC Sabathia and Carmona due up to pitch, Browns missed out on the Playoffs because the Titans beat the Jim Sorgi Colts (Titans deserved it more anyway though), and then the Buckeyes lost the national title game again... against LSU.

Now granted, I really, really would have liked all of my collective teams to win at least *one* title, but all those games and series and championships were fun to watch and it sure beats the tribe being out of it at the all-star break or the Browns going back to being the Browns.
