The bloke on the left is Vinnie Jones, notorious football hard nut (sic) - now a Hollywood celebrity . On the right is Paul "Gazza" Gascoigne, who, at the time this photo was taken (mid-eighties?), was an up and coming wonder-kid.

I believe Vinnie was trying to intimidate him a little - maybe put him off his game. I not sure if it worked .
