When I first read this thread, my next question was actually going to be "Do you have a band?" But you already answered it. If you answer was no, my follow-up statement was going to be "you should get one".

I have a roommate that is really into music and composes a lot of his own stuff (I'm not sure what program(s) he uses to aid him). Anyway, he did his own thing for several years, but he always wanted a band. Recently he found out some of his friends play instruments, and he's trying to form a band (and it's working -- everyone is excited about it).

I'm not sure where I'm going with this post, because I'm kind of drunk, but my main point was supposed to be one of encouragement.
Hehe thanks. Yeah I'd love one but I'm just having a horrible time finding one. If I could find a singer I'd be incredibly happy as I can play every instrument except sing so atleast I could do some studio-work with a singer. But everytime I get someone who responds to my craigslist ad, they flake out and never show up or just disappear. It sucks. So my new approach is now just make the music and put it out there without vocals and see if someone who can sing likes it enough to try and sing over it or write more stuff alongside me. Not having a band is an endless frustration for me because writing music is really something I feel I excel at and I really love doing.

No matter what anyone tells you, the fact that they're slightly out of time is a good thing, it gives it more of a "live" feel and adds to the rhythm.

If you can in your audio editor, I suggest you pan some of the tracks (quite delicately) to give your music more space.
Eh, its *really* out of time, but I think hid it well. When I realized it was so off is when I added the egg-shaker to keep the beat When working with tracks if one track is slightly off and then you build off of that track, well the next one will be off too. It compounds.

Nope audacity only deals with mono .wav files. I'm looking into procuring a less-than-legal copy of *insert whatever good audio editor I can find* from a buddy of mine.

Thanks for the comments. I'll probably record some more this afternoon, more "standard" hard rock.
