I downloaded it, but then I decided against installing it. I already have so much crap on this pc. - The cool thing about VLC is that it can play broken video files and even fix them. I use mplayer as a backup that can even play the most mangled files, but it doesn't decode as nicely as vlc - that's my main problem with other video players I've tried. When I look at a - not even heavily encoded avi, vlc decodes it a lot better than winamp, windows media or mplayer.
I also like miro - I like the concept better than the execution... hopefully it will get better.
