If you've had covid, why do you need a vaccine? You should have a natural immunity.

From what I understand, how long the immunity from having been infected lasts is unknown. There have been cases of reinfections. It's definitely not as much of a rush to get the vaccine though. In an ideal world where added instructions didn't run the risk of muddying the waters and risking uptake rates, they'd have advised people who have had confirmed infections to wait to receive the vaccine and prioritize people who have no known immunity.

The immunity doesn't last. The memory cells needed to have long-term immunity don't really get created until a 2nd infection. Not trying to wait for that since the first time sucked pretty bad.
