Well in keeping with the tradition started recently by American Priests they did ask 1 prominent American if he would like to be pope but sadly Michael Jackson has some proir commitment for the next few weeks so he declined.

Actually it was the only Catholic President.

There will never be another Cathloic Presiden for several reasons. One is there is an anti-Catholic sentiment in the US.Also A Catholic who wanted to stay true to the teachings of the Church and ran for President would have to run as 3rd party canidate. Cathloics are viewed as to liberal for Republicans (welfare, capital punishment) and too conservative for Democrats (abortion, gay marriage), and would not get nomiated by either party.

It is atuclly kind of ironic that Bush, a Protestant, actually has more beliefs that the Catholic Church teaches, than Kerry, a "practicing Catholic"
