    Default wierd virus message

so i keep getting a "Critical System Warning!" message from some program called Personal AntiVirus that i dont remember ever installing. It says there is a Trojan.Win32.Agent.azsy that is a "Windows PE EXE" that attempts to steal passwords from the internet. Is this something i should take serious or is this just a way for this company to get me to buy their product.

I use the free version of AVG and am running a full scan on my comp right now, but so far nothing has been picked up.

thanks. i take it this is safe to download and use? because it kind of seems like a similar thing to personal antivirus.

i found out my wife was clicking on random links last night trying to find something and downloaded it. Another reason whey teh mimenz shouldn't use the internet unsupervised.

Meh, PA is only interested in getting you to buy PA by giving false positives on your virus alerts. There's no skill or hacking involved, it's just scaremongering you for mannies.

Also, if ever concerned, you can usually go to www.sarc.com (Symantec) and do a search on the message you are getting, that will usually give you a lot of info whether to believe it or not.

I keep getting this error message saying "You are far too awesome to be posting at this forum." What does this mean?

It means you're using someone else's Windows profile. Click "Start" and "Log Off". You'll then be given the option to log in to your own profile.
