Other things to get is -
- A good anti-virus program. I use BitDefender at it works awesome, doesn't slow down the PC or anything that some programs might do.
- AdAware, for removing adware and shit like that (spyware, etc etc. crap you get from visiting websites)
- Spybot, for removing spyware, trojans and other software that wants to know what you're doing.
- There's also PeerGuardian which stops people/or IP addresses rather to get into your computer. Maybe not necessary but it can stop people from hacking into your computer...
