High stakes is a special case. I don't think anyone wants to see people's ability to post there restricted, but I think those of us that don't play those stakes need to be extremely frugal about it and protective of our high stakes players' space, to ensure that its content isn't diluted by stupid posts from players that just don't get it.
I learn from high stakes by following the discussions between high stakes players. I only wade in and ask questions when it isn't clear to me why a play seems to be considered "standard" when to me it looks like it's anything but and it doesn't look like the answer will be forthcoming. But even then I'm cautious.
It is a very simple matter for FTR to restrict access to the high stakes forum, but I think you'll agree that it's in nobody's best interest to create conditions that make that neccessary.
