Former overclocker enthusiast. My system is a hodgepodge of older and newer parts, I don't have the specs together and dont really feel like checking everything. Some thoughts on the processor & memory:

That's AMD's current "flagship" processor, checks in at about $720. To contrast, take a step down to a Athlon 64 X2 4600+ (2.4 GHz) AM2 Retail and you're talking more like $250. The benchmark tests I've seen certainly show a performance improvement with the FX-62 over the 4600+, but at that cost difference I'd personally think twice about the price vs performance.

Nice. DDR2 prices have been going up lately, but I wouldn't skimp here. Saw a recommendation for Corsair Twin2X2048-6400C4
