I've been here a while and would appreciate being allowed to play in this tourney.

I've done well enough for myself at poker so I am not just interested in the freeroll for the money. I've would love a chance to play with some of the FTR members here. I played in the FTR300 and placed 12th (I believe). But I was disappointed because there were so few names I recognized.

I haven't posted so much in the past because I was missing a big piece of my game. After reading spoon's multiple posts about range I discovered that this was the piece I was missing. Now I can see the reasoning in a lot of the advice that is given and have gained confidence in my game. With this I hope I can better help others as well as actually take part in discussions.

If you decide not to, I understand, I am still new and I have not been qualified. In that case I have a few favorite members that I will be rooting for from the rail.

hmm... wonder what all FTR regs are gonna play...

each time someone says something, you have to answer back with something stupid smartass remark.. you are THE MAN! is that what you want? for us "noobs" to get on our knees and bow down to you and everyone else who's been here for a long time?


the bottom line is this. whenever you put a sexy freeroll on a big time site like pokerstars, you're going to get a LOT of new people who join who JUST want to play in the freeroll.. GET OVER IT. now, that you know this obvious thing, the next step is how you treat it.. and my friend, you're treating it like shit. some of these new people really may be true blue leaches but some may simply be new to poker or truly have good intentions for this forum, you dont know that until you get to know them.

why do people keep going on about not getting the password
its sounding like a broken record
just 1 point though is it not the amount of people u have joined
on the site that in part dictates how much revenue u get
and wouldnt how many players u have in a tourny be part of the information to potential investers in site advertising and the likes

I personally prefer playing the buyin games myself , but the odd time a freeroll is nice.
I have always been a fan of PokerStars and play the 3.00 Rebuy NL holdem game a couple times a week as well as the 5.00 Rebuy NL holdem tourny and do quite well at those.

You can also find me at the Omaha .25/.50 tables most times.

I run a community on a different topic and I can tell you that it's not just the number of members that make any difference to advertisers or how much money you make. In the long run it really is the number of quality members that stick around and keep coming back.

There are always going to be those who don't have much to say and just lurk in the shadows, there's no way around it. But, in the end it's those who get involved that keep the site and community going.

I have a simple question.. I've been a member for just over a month now, I've played in a few buy in games and i have about 15 posts.. I would have a lot more posts but due to the holidays, I was away for most of 3 weeks.. How come it still only shows that I have 5 posts?.. is there a post limit per day or something?.. Most of my posts are quite long and arent just bs posts. Granted most have come today, just wondering.. I wont be upset if I'm not allowed in the freeroll, I prefer the buy ins anyways..

because only strat forums count for posting. And if anyone posts gibberish in those forums it's moved to the bin where they don't count.
