Great opportunity for a shot at glory. Hoping to play in this but have not been accepted as qualified member yet. Fingers crossed I will make it before the 18th. Good luck to everyone who plays.

This is for a Step 5 ticket for those that are wondering - winning Step 6 will win you the big package.

I'm definitely up for giving it a shot.

Stars are running large field PCA qualifiers with $700 buyins which is probably the best option for using the ticket if you want to go to PCA

Hoping to bring details on this ASAP

I am so grumpy with the Pokerstars shutting down U.S. players to real money games, that I protest in my own little way (as a U.S. player) by not playing on Pokerstars home games. Many home games held on Pokerstars offer amazon gift cards as prizes, I just don't like dealing with the intermediary.
It takes 2 years to learn to talk, but a lifetime to learn when to shut up.

Your aiming your protests at the wrong group. Stars has done nothing wrong - the DOJ are the enemy. The better way to protest would be to do the opposite; play Home Games and get as many people as you can to play Home Games. Also write letters/emails to the DOJ asking them to reconsider their position. The more widely accepted online poker becomes, the faster the US government will decide to legalise it to make voters happy.

This way also means you can play in our Gauntlet event

    Probably.
So annoying how the DOJ thinks they can get U.S. players their money in a way more responsibly than Pokerstars can return FTP monies. I mean, we saw how fast Pokerstars paid up their own players. Pokerstars paying back U.S. FTP funds would probably be a no brainer.

The reason I shy away from PokerStars besides not being able to play their cash game since I am a U.S. player. I bubble on average 3 games a week. Most Pokerstars home games pay out in Amazon cards after a 8 -13 game season. I'll be darned if I am going to bubble out of a leaderboard after 13 games and not be awarded zip.

My personal rule is I do not play poker for play money. I would play on ZyngaPoker if I wanted to play free poker.

Hey pascal I might be an idiot but what do I need to do to be able to play in this tournament? I am not referred to stars by ftr, but looks like that is not necessary.

    Thanks

Default I got lucky and won the PS ... pca $1000 added

Hi there ........ Just found out about your site today ... and had a bit (lot) of luck and won the pca sat tournement ..(deffo beginers luck .)
this is a bit embarrassing ... But ... I'm also fairly new to Poker stars ...
so how do I find the $700 ticket for the pca ????
many thanks for any help........ Dom
  28. #28
    Hi Dom - congratulations!

I'm pretty sure it'll be manually added to your Pokerstars account by their support, so it might not have been credited yet. When it's been credited, it'll show up in your tournament tickets, which you can access by going to the Requests menu in the lobby then View my Tournament Tickets.

If it isn't showing up in a couple of days still then let me know and I'll ask Pokerstars.

I hope you stay around, we could always do with good players

Thanks pascal .... ... I will keep you updated about the ticket ... and also ... how I do in the pca sat tournament ... .. ( I'll probably just be moaning about a bad beat or two ..) ..

thanks for the encouragement.. The tournee is on sunday 8.10pm WET time ........
I've had a bit of a bad week out side of the poker world ... (clutch broke on my van thursday = -£530... friday .. brought a 2nd hand Iphone from ebay.. for my daugthers birthday ... Iphone locked and not working ...... It was described as " unlocked and will work with any sim"... its now a big headache ... gotta cross my fingers and hope to get the £200 back ...
    Friday car wouldn't start ....
and Saturday .... Van has been broken into ... 2 locks smashed .. but not much stolen .....
So I'm not in a very good frame of mind to play good poker .... Will probably tilt off my chips early, if my past perfomance is any thing to go by .....
Hope I've calmed down by then .......Dom

P.S... But your right ..Thanks to FTR for the chance to dream and play in such a big tournament

I came 159th .... I was out classed.... but also unlucky on my last hand ........ It was in the 2nd hour cant remember what the blinds were exactly but it was 12 min levels ... I had about 2500 maybe 20/25 bb...
The villian about 2800 ... on the previous hand the villian had 4bet allin a massive over bet with A6 off... from the SB ...
anyway this hand ..I'm in late pos with AQ... first to act I bet 300 villian shoves all in again ... I think he could have any thing so ... call all my chips off ..... he has 10,10......... flop K,K,10........ 9......A .....
    and i'm out ........
I wasn't playing my best any way ... but a bit annoying to loose to some one who had just shoved with A6 the previous hand ...
    ohh well ...dream on
