New Exclusive Reward Bonus with Sun Poker

Starting October 1st, 2006:

FTR now has an exclusive reward Bonus with Sun Poker. In addition to the $50 deposit Bonus and the $100 reload Bonus we have now setup a $100 reward Bonus.

Note that bonuses DO NOT come out of the Rakeback so it is the best of both worlds!

The new reward bonus for Sunpoker is for any players accumulating 1500 MPP's (my poker points) within the calendar month. This is an extra $100 on top of the $150 for new players.

You do not need to redeposit for this bonus, simply accumulate 1500 MPP's during any calendar month and your account with automatically be credited.

What are MPPs and how do I earn them?
MPPs are Sun Poker’s way to reward our loyal poker clients. Points are earned by playing at our regular cash game or ring game tables. Players are awarded MPPs along the following schedule.

Rake from 0 to 0.24 = 0 Points
Rake from 0.25 to 0.99 = .25 Points
Rake from $1 to $3 = 1 Point

Remember, these bonuses are NOT deducated from your rakeback totals!

I just joined sun poker, through FTR, well I hope I did it right anyway. (I used a link, downloaded the software, and opened an account.)

But under the my promotions tab, I only see the 50$ dollar bonus, and not the other bonuses, I'm not sure about me getting any rakeback either. I hope this thread is still checked.

Due to bonus abuse, the following countries have been barred from receiving deposit bonuses: China, Denmark, Latvia, Hungary, Croatia (Hrvatska), Bulgaria, Israel, Finland, Malaysia, Ukraine, Hong Kong and Poland. If you are a serious player from one of these areas, please email us after you have played 30 days in the poker room, and the poker room manager will make a determination if you are eligible to receive a deposit bonus.

Note, the new bonus as of November 1st, 2006 for Sunpoker is:

100% Match up to $100

The bonus money will be released once you have earned 5 MPPs (my poker points) for every $1 in bonus money granted. e.g. if you receive $100 in bonus chips, it will be made available to you at the tables after you've earned 500 MPPs.

The exclusive $100 after 1500 MPPs will stop after November 30th, 2006.

You will need to complete the requirements. That is 5 MPP's for every dollar of bonus. For $100, that would be 500 MPPs. Then email the Sunpoker customer support.

lol, Mark, I meant how do bonuses get abused?

that is a good quesiton. Since the bonus was recently changed to 100% up to $100 and released after 500 MPPs, Sunpoker may want to revisit the strategy.

I moved to poker plex. $200 a month bonus for 1000 MPP's at any stake, with no deposit, and 30% rakeback (PM me). At Sun it was a one month deal to get our business, but no loyalty, so I'm out.

That is incorrect. We had all intentions of keeping it going for an extended period of time. We received many complaints from rakeback affiliates who thought is was unfair that some affiliates received extra incentives, (such as this extra $100 bonus at FTR) in addition to the rakeback. We needed to level the playing field with rakeback affiliates. This is why the decision was made.

And how do I know if I'm getting rakeback?

Rake meter says this:

...but it doesn't say anything about rakeback.

I feel a bit cheated. What did I do wrong? I'm from Finland but I understood it's ok nowadays. Any way to correct this? If not... I'm out.

If you signed up via FTR for rakeback at Sunpoker, than you will receive your rakeback payments at the beginning of next month.

The rakemeter is provided so that you can keep track of how much rakeback you will receive.

Okay. With all due respect, Mark, you have tried to answer my questions. However, I still have not gotten the answers I am looking for.

When I sign up as a new player through FTR, what should I get from Sun Poker? (ie. what bonuses and rakeback?)

How do I check my the rake that I have paid and how much rakeback I am getting?

The reason for these questions is that I was under the impression that as a new customer through FTR, I would receive some sort of automatic bonus. However, I have deposited money and there still is no bonus listed under the "promotions" tab in the cashier.

Any help would be appreciated. I am already playing, I just want to get these bonus and rakeback issues sorted out.

You receive a 100% match bonus up to $100. It looks like you deposited $50, so that bonus money will be released after your 250th MPP (my poker point).

You do receive a bonus, but for the bonus to be released you must accumulate the required amount of MPPs (my poker points) to release the bonus money into your account. $1 for every 5 MPPs. A $50 deposit would require 250 MPPs in order for the bonus to be released to your account.
