i got an email a week ago saying becuase i signed up through ftr to poker stars i get a free ticket to this tourny, how do i redeem this ticket? when i go to the tourny lobby and try and register it will not let me without paying 3.30

You're trying to register for the FTR300 that takes place on July 30th, that's why. The freeroll takes place on the 28th.

If you signed up in time for the issuance of the tickets you will be able to play. Otherwise you may have to wait until next month for the next one. Also note that you cannot have had a previous account with pokerstars. It needs to be the first time you've had an account with them, otherwise it won't count you as a direct sign up.

I'm a little confused. I wrote support@pokerstars(dot)com asking for a ticket to the FTR $300 Freeroll, after I signed up earlier today. The response I got back was this: "Please note that we do not issue tickets on behalf of FlopTurnRiver[dot]com.
As such we suggest that you contact them for additional assistance."
I'm wondering, were the tickets issued by PokerStars, did FlopTurnRiver issue them, or was it an automatic thing & I was just too late in signing up?
I didn't think I was too late, as I signed up the day before the tourney at about 3:00pm, Mountain time(GMT -7).

It is an automatic thing. I am not sure what the deadline is for the issuance of tickets. I could check on that for you.
