    Thanks guys.

Hey, it's all about making money at poker, hope you guys are succeeding. I've been slumping lately, lost three nights in a row, but last night may be the start of my upswing - I made $.50, seriously. LOL.

Good luck guys, keep us posted.

Thats how I break losing streaks.. Hit and run a few times

sit with $25 win $25.50 leave the table for a few hours.
sit with $25 again win and leave..

whatever it takes to break your losing streak... one big bet.

I've been playing .25/50 and .50/1 limit over at Poker Stars for the last month. Started with $50. Current balance is $117. Reading everything I could about poker, including Sklansky has helped immensely. I definetly see the benefits to playing NL, but I feel like I need more confidence and a better grasp of how to play certain hands before I do.

Yeah, that's fair, I started with limit too, it was cool for several months, I was very comfortable with the limit game - but it was a grind to make any money. Not sure what sparked my attempt at no limit - probably got home late after partying and had the drunken courage to give it a shot. Probably doubled up and realized - Wow!!

Anyway, your bankroll is growing so keep doing what you're doing! When you feel you've really got a good grip on limit and it starts to get boring or frustrating - that's when you'll be ready to switch it up to no limit.

Keep it up, catch you later.

(Gotta love Sklansky The Mad Genius - I learned my limit game from mostly his books too)

Caught a monster straight at the .50/1 limit table. Pulled down a $25 pot with a maniac calling into my every raise. Decided to move over to the .10/.25 NL tables. Up to $162 as of now. Pulled down my first all-in call with KK(I actually called someone's all-in call). The first one has to be the hardest.

I learned how to play Hold 'em from Sklansky, I learned how to make money playing NL Hold 'em from this site and Mike Caro, the true Mad Genius. Honorable mention to Grant Pittman's NL posts on the United Poker forum too.
