'posted at' display times vs timezones

    Default 'posted at' display times vs timezones

    it seems as though the post-time being displayed is based on the timezone that the user has setup rather than a standardised time that the post is received
    does that make sense? i've described it poorly, but hopefully well enough?
    this thread may illustrate the point - my post at 11:13pm was posted after pascal's (which states posted at 12:30pm), suggests some user timezone thing.
    Maybe it doesn't matter at all though

    for me it says pascal posted at 8:30am and you posted the last two at 7:13pm and 7:33pm but I am in EST

    No this is right then. 12:30 pm would be lunch time and 11:30pm (23:30) is evening, at 12 midnight (00:00) it becomes am
