Default $25NL QQ on difficult board

How should I have played this? Opps only been in for a couple of hands, so I can't really put him on anything. There are too many hands from a loose/passive players range that beat and not enough outs for me to build the pot on the turn, although I possibly would have bet if the K hadn't fallen.

One thing I think I should have done is bet $3.50 on the flop.

    Flop: K A J ($4.65, 2 players)
    UTG+1 checks, flyingPenguin bets $2, UTG+1 calls.

    UTG+1 checks, flyingPenguin checks.

raise more on the flop, the flop bet looks week. the pot is 4.65 you bet less then 1/2 pot. you should bet 3/4 pot here, I would probably bet $4 and see what happens.

check flop. you want a cheap showdown if possible here.

    The river bet is asinine.

Checking this flop is certainly an option. Meh, on bet size. I really don't have any context to say much about it.

preflop raise looks good to me..

3/4 pot size bet would be justifiable to represent you got a big portion of the paint flop.. one smooth call is an indication for you to slow down.. with two overs on your queens..

the turn .. check .. check .. sounds good to me

river comes a blank... i do not feel its necesary to bet on the river.. especially on that board... most likely the only hand thats going to call is a hand that beats you..
ace king is not a made hand.

bet at least 1/2 pot on flop. check river, no worse hands are calling and u risk a c/r. looks like you have him beat as is.

flattin ur 4bets, makin u tilt
I might bet like 0.75 on the river with a read, but betting 4$ there is really bad as no better hands fold and no worse hands call
