why do you check raise all in when a flush completes? raise more preflop, add a BB to your raise for every limper before you. so if your normal raise would be 4x make it 7x. bet more on the flop. checking the turn is real dumb, give OPP free card if he wants it. you should have led out on the turn and saw what he did.

The 10 is a very bad card for you. It completes his flush AND maybe his straight as well.
Add to that the fact that this is a low board so it probably isnt an Ax, or KQ or some other type of hand that has hit a single pair calling you and i think it is farly likely you are beaten by trips or a flush (or maybe 2 pair or a straight)
As it happens he called the flop with a pretty rubbish pair but i think most of the time here you are up against something even if it is a draw. When the T falls and completes almost all the draws that could be against you i check and hope for a free/cheap showdown. Fold to a big raise. In my experience most people at these stakes are very passive. They will call huge bets with a small hand but will only make them when they have 1 pair beaten.

It's heads-up to the flop. We picked up the nut flush re-draw, so I think it's a pretty good card for our hero. He should be betting out here.

agree with before. preflop is ok, could be .1 or .2 more. flop bet more, lead out the turn. the ten isn't awful but its not wonderful. if ever you get into this type of situation in the future, use that flush draw youo picked up to your advanage and just call.

Your flop bet is too small. .60 appears to be half the pot. I think you need to make a pot sized bet here with a draw on the board.

If I've been doing lots of 1/2 to 3/4 pot continuation bets, then I will make this lead sometimes and hope to get raised.

I was speaking in regards to my experience at NL 10 where someone is more likely to call such a small bet. Plus for people far less experienced than yourself (such as myself), I could see this getting us into trouble.

do you find that against fishy people they tend to get overconfident on later streets and pay you off? does doing this with hands as weak as tptk or an overpair worry you?

i in general bet less on the flop when i have a hand, and bet more when i missed with ak or something. i think it could be good to bet a little smaller on the flop, but i usually don't do it against fishy players because I feel like i end up paying them off more on later streets when they catch their total nutjob hand, like happened here.

Thanks for the input guys. This is what I gathered from all the replies.

Preflop: Yeah I guess I could have raised a bit more, 7x maybe, which likely would have resulted in the blinds + limpers.

Postflop: Lead out more on the flop, pot it. I think this definitely would have gotten a fold.

Turn:After the poor flop bet, I just check call the turn and check fold the river to a huge bet?

I would have let it go for sure on the turn but that turn card gave me a lot more outs.. and I figured checking into him might would give him the impression I was weak.(AK, AQ flop continuation bet), so he would lead out hard with his TPTK, then me pushing for another 6$ on top of that would get him to fold. I'm probably way off base but yeah..

If I'm betting into lots of flops, I expect weaker hands to take a stand here.

I'm far more interested in picking up lots of flops, getting free river cards and concealing my hand than I am in protecting anything. If get flat called, we'll play a turn. If they miss the turn then I can really put the screws to them.

In regards to the flop betting discussion:

I've played some .10NL on Absolute (They have 200BB stacks, so it's 20NL kinda...a strange game).

Most people will limp almost any hand. Sometimes I weak bet or check the flop when I hit top pair with something like K4 in the blind...I get a lot of calls from turned pairs or middle pairs that I wouldn't usually get, but the hand is EXTREMELY easy to release to a raise.
