limp-call pre is so often low-mid pairs. Call flop, raise turn is a classic set line. There is so much in an unknown's range that crushes you - KQ/TJ/89/88/99 - I'm waiting for a nicer spot
If villain was a decent, thinking player I'd agree with you here 100%. A bad player could do this with worse.
With no reads I might agree with you that a fold is probably in order. ...but you know my laggy ass can't fold aces so that's not how this hand played out
