Default 100NL, AQ vs a huge whale

villian seemed to play 80% of hands so far since i sat down running like 82/6/1.2 over 17 hands( no 3 bet% so far). I decided to cbet for value cuz his 3 bet calling range is so wide and i could also see free showdown with my outs. Hmmm, I didnt expect him to c/r me though. Raise more preflop and check back on this flop ?

Pretty easy fold. We only have 3 outs to the nuts and while that may seem like a nitty attitidue to have, the reverse implied odds are pretty bad even in position vs. this fish.

I like preflop and the flop bet though. Yeah we have some showdown value and checking back is an option, but our showdown value is minimal and I don't really want to be calling a bet on the turn. If he's likely to let you get to showdown free when you have the best hand I think it's an option, but I think it's best to just bet.

yeah I check behind the flop a lot here. Do a pokerstove if you wonder if you should shove the flop
