Thats the problem, right? I can't really "lut" (:P) him on anything with the way the hand played out. Up until his river c/r I'm thinking some ace, so i bet an amount I feel he could call with say AJ. (Looking back, I should probably make it like 18-19$ if this is the case. A full pot sized bet might scare off A9 type hands though?)
I don't think he would check a higher set to me on both turn and river. I don't think he'd call preflop and on the flop with many hands that make a river flush. Perhaps 56s thinking I'm full of shit on the flop, hitting the gutshot on the turn and attempting a c/r? But how often do villains check those strong hands on both turn and river? I really can't say what he holds given this action. It looks a bit like air too, doesn't it?
I fear that I'm being results oriented here, but doesn't aces up look like a hand that might want to check-minraise to get value out of AK/AQ or pick off a bluff here? He's not really going to be scared of the backdoor flush, and I havent repped a strong hand until the river (standard cbet flop, shutdown on turn, try and steal the river?).
Villain flipped A7 and I smiled.
Why check behind on the turn??? Honestly, I just really want to know.
I don't like to fire second barrels without reads, I'd rather check behind and hit that magic card or try to take it away on the river.
