Re-raiser is a 7/4 over 90 hands, so he almost certainly has AA/KK here.

In spots like this, how do you calculate if you're able to make an +EV call here?

If you know you will flop a set and stack, sure go ahead and call.

play for set value i guess...

Its a thin call, but I think your implied odds put you over the top for a call here, it is obviously AA/KK, no doubt about it, you will stack him if you hit your set, I call and fold with no set.

call, not even close. calling 8 to win 88, plus mp2's $4 and maybe 8 more, and maybe even more than that.

Call and play for set value. I play JJ like that to a reraise a lot. He has enough behind to justify it.
