With $14.75 in the pot would a call be better then a push?

I like a call cause you've got position, plus his c/r suggests you don't have much FE for a semi-bluff...

I'm calling because of three reasons:

-Probably close to zero FE
-Position
-UTG still left to act. I prefer a push heads up and calls in multi-way pots, as getting UTG to tag along may increase your equity.

Sums it up. Hard to see a lot of FE when villain is mid-stacked and come over the top vs a pot bet and a call.

Small pot, position and you'd love all sorts of crap drawing thin/dead to over-call or better yet, catch second best.

I see your point about calling. But then what's your plan on a brick TURN and villain bets. Call? Push? I suppose here it's a definitive call or check if villain checks, right?
However, my question is: most of the time we'll not see a good TURN for us, so even with position we will not win enough.
Pushing the FLOP will allow calls with KQ/KJ and maybe KT or badly played AK or even QJss where we are at last 55% favorite ...
If the guys is really bad he might even call with JJ-TT.

Looks like an easy flat call to me.

I'm not doing the math but if he shoves a blank turn I'd just see if you have pot odds to call and base my decision on that(may depend on whether UTG calls the flop). I'd assume something like 20% that he's bluffing/on a worse draw.

You aren't a favorite vs AK. You're miles ahead of QJs.

I like a call in position and a raise without.

Just because you might have a bit of a tricky decision on the turn don't make pushing the best play. Pushing is better for a new player as we try to simplify the game as we learn. You ain't new, you should make the best play.

What info do you have that he is doing this with the wide range posted?

Call, use your position. Bring UTG into the pot, reevaluate the turn.

I just felt that we'll fold most often on turn if he bets $15-20 on the $20 pot so I wanted to avoid this. Maybe that was my mistake, now I see the advantages of calling flop.
