Default 100NL, TT oop in a bloated pot

villain is 18/13/2.1 over 200 hands. I raised on the flop both for value and protection. Should we go pot control or b/f vs these types of players on such a drawy board?
    No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Hero (Button) ($106.75)
    SB ($76.50)
    BB ($98.40)
    UTG ($105.70)
    UTG+1 ($123.95)
    MP1 ($108.50)
    MP2 ($52.65)
    MP3 ($89.05)
    CO ($107.85)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 10, 10
    3 folds, MP2 raises $3, MP3 calls $3, 1 fold, Hero calls $3, 1 fold, BB calls $2

    Flop: ($12.50) 4, 5, 9 (4 players)
    BB checks, MP2 bets $2, MP3 calls $2, Hero raises $13, 2 folds, MP3 calls $11

    Turn: ($40.50) 3 (2 players)
    MP3 checks, Hero ?

I go into pot control mode because losing the remainder of my $80 the times that we're up against a set or two pair (or turned straight) is worse than losing a $40 pot when we get outdrawn (which is only what 20% of the time we check?)

after I check the turn I'm not losing my stack on the river unless I hit the 10 and op shoves in which case I'll have a decision (but I'll call on a non-spade ten)

if we dont bet are we're calling a river bet on a blank anyway?
id ratehr bet it on the turn and charge draws, some weakers hands

but his line doesnt seem too strong so we might blow off weaker made hands which we could rather rivertown

value and protection. Obviously, one of these guy had some drawing hands. Also, i hate to flat calling these tiny bets and end up folding to a big bet on flush or over card turn..

because calling a two dollar bet is no different from checking

This is one of those hands where I think the words betting and folding don't belong together. The flop is call or raise/allin and the turn is either check or bet/call as played

I agree that we can't raise/fold the flop or bet/fold the turn. Axs should be shoving this board a ton on both streets, especially when the turn adds some gutshot outs.

I probably check the turn, calling any reasonable bet on the river unless a spade or ace falls, in which case I think we can fold. I call because I can see villian betting something like 89s / 9Ts for value and bluffing anything else, because our line looks pretty drawy itself.

I'm raising the flop just as OP did, then betting 1/2 on turn and then closing shop after that.
