This looks like set versus smaller set to me. I'm in the habit of betting near-the-pot when I topset. True, it scares off people who might've caught up a bit, but it makes up for it in people who think they've caught up and haven't.

I'd probably raise more preflop or just check it down. Flop, bet much more. Pot or close to it, preferably. It's a 4 way pot on a T86 2 tone board. Pot is $10 or so on the turn and you bet $3 into it after you get called 2 ways on the flop. The board now has a lot of straight draws and 2 flush draws. Definately crank up the bets, that's my advice. No way should there be any betting on this river, period.

Now that you got to the river, just push. If he hit his backdoor flush draw, kick yourself for playing the hand so poorly and move on. If he flopped the straight, that just sucks.

I'd have raised it to $1.75 PF (4x + 1 for each limper). You need to make those later position limpers pay to play.

I'd have bet 3/4 the pot, if not full pot because you are out of position on a fairly coordinated two-tone board with 4 other players.

I think you needed to play this hand a little hard to make up for your lack of position. It's better to take a smaller pot than to lose the big one.

The three really doesn't scare you at all, so bet the pot again on the turn... and voila, you are committed on the river if you still have someone chasing down with you.

how does the three not scare you? it completes the flush draw. and i definitely check-call the river. and bet harder on all streets.
