    Default 2, 10NL deep hands...

i worry about AA once the pot goes 4+ way. i didnt want to bloat a pot for likely sets in this dry condition. i burned off a street of betting where i almost always try and take down the pot. its not like i want to fold, so i thought the best approach would be to check flop, bet turn, and re-evaluate. smart? or stupid with AA? i am focusing on pot control, but dont want to sacrifice intelligence...

    No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) Absolute-Poker Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Button ($5.20)
    SB ($13.65)
    BB ($8.77)
    UTG ($9.40)
    UTG+1 ($5.60)
    Hero ($14.50)
    MP2 ($5.75)
    MP3 ($4.73)
    CO ($12.70)

    Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A, A.
    1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.5, 2 folds, CO calls $0.50, 1 fold, SB calls $0.45, BB calls $0.40, UTG+1 calls $0.40.

    Flop: ($2.50) 3, 6, J (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, CO checks.

    Turn: ($2.50) 6 (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $2.2, CO folds, SB folds, BB calls $2.20, UTG+1 folds.

    River: ($6.90) 5 (2 players)
    BB checks, Hero checks.

    Final Pot: $6.90

i was happy with this result, but wonder about the thought process.

hand two... this one sucked, imo. i have been taking a more passive approach on these situations, but cant seem to fold when the flush gets there. it doesnt seem to matter much, as i still seem to win a lot of these types of hands. i know it's player dependent, but i wonder about the bet size by villain on river. i think i tanked this one. i maybe should have bet/bet/check here, but i dont think it makes a difference in this result. i am more concerned when facing a big river bet...how often are they bluffs? i have to be good here more than 40% of the time, yes?

These hands are played rather oddly. Im not sure what you are scared of, you very likely have the best hand in both cases.

In hand one the pot is pretty big so I would just bet the flop and likely stack of against anyone who isnt an insufferable nit. Im definitly not giving 4 players a free turn.

Hand 2, I'd just bet/fold the turn for 1/2 pot or so, then either block the river or c/c a reasonable bet. As played I might fold unless the opp seems bluffy - not the best river card there.

    Dude!

Hand1: I see this as an ideal place to bet a pot in. 4-way on a likely loose table, safe board and all you can think about is sets?

I think about all the donks with K7+ who'll pay me off here. Same with hand2 -- I bet the turn almost everytime

Save yer nittiness fer the real nits -- they're the sethunters to dodge.
