200NL; AA OOP vs river push

Early in the session, no real read. Villain had loose stats but the sample was too small to have any significant impact on the decision making. No showdowns seen.

Call or fold river, and how about the play earlier in the hand?

UTG calls $2, Hero raises to $9, 4 folds, CO (poster) calls $7, 3 folds, UTG calls $7.

Flop: ($30) 4, 6, 5 (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $20, CO calls $20, UTG folds.

Turn: ($70) J (2 players)
Hero bets $40, CO calls $40.

River: ($150) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $131 (All-In), Hero ??

I would prob play the same and call river, thinking most would raise 2pr/set by the turn and the check was intended to get a bluff. You only really beat a bluff though, so it's kinda tough to call a big bet like that.

Thanks guys. I planned to and did call, villain showed Td8d for a gutshot on flop, turn, air on river.

I struggle with knowing when to make blocking bets and fold to raises, and when to check/call. Any wise words?

Well you have to ask yourself whether it's more likely that he has a weak marginal hand that will check behind but will call a bet, or whether it's more likely that he has a missed draw that he'll bluff with.
