    is this standard? note that this bet puts villain all-in
    should i be betting flop harder? i realise i'm giving a flush draw odds to call...

    I think isolating preflop is bad under most circumstances vs a 30 BB stack.

    I understand what you're trying to accomplish on the flop but you can still make it $6 instead of $4 and I bet this idiot will still come along with most of the same hands.

    a bigger raise scares off most cards, villain calls most min-raises and then feels pretty committed - unlikely to fold. He called with a pair of nines and a gutshot
