Tight table, so I started raising some SC's. No particular read. Villain is TAG. Flop call ok? Should I've pushed the turn?

    Ace King no g00t!

That said, I think he may have priced you out of chasing on the flop + turn.

higher limits than I play. If I take your betting and divide by 100 it looks pretty wisely played on my limits.

But. I figure that if you have even 23 suited and 3 of suit come up you are pretty good to go. If a 4th in suit comes up then bail.
Been playing money poker for 34 years and decided in 2002 to try that TX Holdem game on TV. Then found Pokerstars in Summer 2005. Still not an overall winner but i am on a good trend and nearly there.

I like it up to the c/r on the flop. If villian is TAG, he's gonna be c/r you with a big A, Aces up, or a set. On the turn he obviously likes his hand and its unlikey you can push him off it (unless he's go AK or AQ in which case he should lay it down but he might still go with it).

I would just dump it when you get c/r on the flop.
Also, you're not OOP, you have position.

I think this is a check behind on this flop. A cold call in the big blind from a TAG is very often a big ace. I guess it really just depends on how tight he is. He could just as well be calling this PF with a pocket pair or something.

I don't know about Prima 400NL but at party 200NL I don't seem many TAG players c/r OOP w/ air.

    That's a shame. It's a great spot for it.

My thoughts: Preflop call indicates AQ+/PP. Flop gives me the option to represent the Ace. C/r probably means set/AQ/AK. Call 50 for ~6 outs, need to win 400 to make it +EV. Don't know if it really is +EV. After turn I have ~11-14 outs, need to win ~500, easy call. Set is possible so I didn't push all-in. At the river I bet the exact amount he got left to make it look like a bluff. Anyway, I probably made a mistake at the flop. Shania likes it though.

Yeah, easy bet/fold unless he's going to do this with air a lot. He *should* play back at you with air sometimes on this board, but most players are too chicken shit.

I don't think it's a easy bet/fold. Deception, possibility of a cheap river and bluffing outs make it reasonably close IMO.

I dont think you have 6 outs. If he has a set then you are drawing dead. If he has AQ+ then you have 5 outs (+ backdoor flushdraw).

How likely is air? I havnt ever called a raise with nothing with the intention of repping an A.

    I think I fold to the check/raise.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

At higher stakes than you and I play, this is more of a possibility.

I don't call raises with nothing either. I just like playing 3 or 4 cards instead of 2.

How likely is an EP PFR to have an Ace? If he's a thinking player, what range calls the flop c/r down?
