    Default AA ($25NL)

Villian is 19/9.5 When he bets the river I just can't see what I'm beating, but I am getting odds. Should I call?

Call. This is a K pretty often and he might even surprise you with a missed draw.

I like your line against a station but there are dangers on this board, he could be playing KQ, QQ, JT, 55 as well as good stuff like AK, KJ and draws. I guess you are inclined to discount the first 4 hands because he played it so passive. Having played as if he's drawing to the river is there any point me pushing it? Won't he only call if he comes up with a suprise big hand?

I think it's fine, although like spenda i would tend to bet a little more on each street. You have to call the river.

if you put more in on each street the river call becomes easy for him if he just has Kx.

Let's see what the hand could've looked like

Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is MP2 with Ad As
3 folds, MP1 calls, Hero raises to $1.25, MP3 folds, CO calls, 3 folds, MP1 calls.

    Flop: Kh 5d Qh ($4.10, 3 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets $4.1, CO calls, MP1 folds.

    Turn: 9d ($12.30, 2 players)
    Hero bets $8, CO calls.

    River: Qs ($28.30, 2 players)
    Hero bets $12

Now the CO is getting 3.3:1 with a hand like AK/KJ. So this is how I played my big pairs at $25NL. I always heard about players winning small pots with AA or losing big ones. Meh, never bought into it especially at this level where opponents are likely to stack of with 1 pair hands.

Ok, you can also check the river to induce a bluff b/c we are not folding to a shove and we want him to bluff missed hearts. Another good thing about that is he cannot backdoored 3 of a kind with the flush draw.

I agree, bet more on all streets. I can't see Villain calling two streets with Q. I supose the JT straight completed, but he would be raising this on the turn, with a double FD.

Also why did you check the river? To induce a bluff, then you GOT to call. If you're scared you still got to call with the pot odds. I think I'd prefer leading out on the river anyway.

Ok seems I should bet more to take advantage of people calling me down with a K. I called the river and he actually had KK which is pretty crazy. I saved some money this time but I guess I'm losing value overall by not trying to get it all in. Silly slowplaying villain.
