    Default AA in multiway pot

    Hi

No HH, but it went something like this.

    50 PL

I am at button (110 chips) and get dealt AA. There are several limpers
and I make maximum preflop raise of 3 dollars (pot limit).

BB (full stack) calls, and couple of more guys call also. So pot is little under 15 dollars.

    Flop: 8d,5d,Jc

Everyone checks to me and I dont like pot being 4-handed
so I bet only 1/3 pot (5 dollars). BB check-raises me to 16 dollars.

What would you do? BB aka villain is unknown to me. He has
been around for 3 orbits and has not done anything wild.

i would bet out more on the flop! i 1/3 pot gives the guy to your immediate left the correct odds to draw to the flush...and every guy after that has even better odds, both pot and implied.

you did your best to thin the field down pf, you cannot stop now...if you want to win.

bet the pot on the flop, and get rid of the draws.

as played, there is a lot of stuff that raises you, if villain is aggro. air (sensing weakness), AXs, 9Ts, AJ, and sets. you fear the sets. i prolly fold, and kick myself for being so scared.

if i had ANY read...ANY read will do...that would make all the difference in the world here, but w/o one i play pretty nitty.

oops, just saw it was a c/r. does that mean all else folded? if so, pound the turn, and if raised, fold. if 2+ villains still in the hand, i KICK MYSELF AGAIN...lol. as now, i have a lot of trouble playing strong because i will be committed to betting the river very quickly.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

    Default I was a wuss

Thanks for your comments. I was up 3 buyins in this session (different tables) and this was my last hand I played. I really considered only
2 options = fold or push. I decided to fold for couple of reasons.

1.) At best I am at coinflip, only hand I really beat is AJ and I consider
it marginal possibility. I think QQ and KK would have reraised me
    preflop.

2.) Wanted to secure my winnings. I thought this was not a good
spot to play for stacks with pot being 4-way already.

3.) I reasoned that villain had been quite conservative earlier
so I thought he c/r to 16 because he had set and was sure someone
    would bet that pot.

4.) I had strong feeling he had JJ

I agree I should have betted more on that flop (2/3-3/3 pot).
