As played on flop I might check raise turn/lead river if he checks behind turn. Flop action suggests an overpair just as much as the dreaded monster imho.
As played on turn I think I like a river check fold better than a block bet.
And I generally think it's okay to go broke against flopped boats when the flop is all low cards.
I think check/raising turn would be a spew given that the card is a king. He cannot bet/call with hands I beat and he more than likely will even check behind with all hands i beat.
And on the flop I was more worried about a 5 than the boat. Since I didn't make a very big raise, there was a caller in front, and he had position, he could easily have 45s/56s here. Thus, I wasn't too worried about him smooth calling my turn bet with a hand that beat me since he'd likely want to get it in with his 5. I probably lost more value than what I gained from avoiding going broke though-this is the main reason I posted this. Anyone care to explain why they agree/disagree?
