    Default Tough one..

I think you played it just fine from preflop to turn if you're worried about that. A check call on river could be interesting although what do you do if he just flat pushes. It's only useful if you think he'll throw out a small/medium bet with any PP there. Ugh...I'm disagreeing with myself. Hmm... River call is tough, but know that villain certainly isn't putting you on a J which means he could be doing that with maybe 99-kk. I'd say it's 40-60 here to call leaning towards folding. At these stakes it's very hard to distinguish the genuine players from the newberoos. He could've called that raise with anything really, even a small suited connector and made a boat of 4s.

Lol...just realized that the above paragraph doesn't answer anything, and to conclude : I have no idea if this is an easy laydown!
Others chime in! At least you're not committed into making this call and can easily get away from it. The question is if you're losing value.
Now that i've melded it through my brain, I think you make this laydown unless you have a strong read that he's awful.
    Family Cruise IMO

small pot and very easy to be very far behind here.

    No reads?

    I fold

Check that turn next time. As played, fold.

Cool I finally made a laydown or two that I was supposed to make

Question: What if he had re-raised me preflop? (I'd reraise him back, but what if he then just called)

Do you put him on an overpair then? I put him on a J here (maybe even A4s) since he just called my raise preflop here.

Whats your plan after you check?

Surely you arent just check/folding here. There are plenty of hands he might want to float that flop with that you beat.

I think check/calling on the turn here is the play more times then not.
