Aggression with an overpair

I had just played in a hand against this person. She didn't bet with a set of 5s on a board of AK5 and only bet 75 cents on the river. When should I have folded this?

Turn: ($81.15) 3 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $81.15
Main Pot: $51, between Hero and CO.
Pot 2: $30.15, returned to CO.

I think that if the villain was afraid to bet with such a strong hand previously, then all that raising should have said something (like get the fuck outta here!). I dont think I would have liked to raise it up $10 bucks like that - its too much money for an iffy hand against a suddenly aggressive opponent plus you have just committed most of your stack to the hand.

This probably is some weaktight advice, but I would have just called the first raise for an extra 2.50, let a scare card hit on the turn and felt better about folding. Since the whole board ended up with undercards, however, it would be tempting to stay in, but just remember how shittily the villain played a set - so just fold and cut your losses and wait to buy some easy pots off the scared villain to make your change back.

I feel ya, I still have a problem calling big raises on the river when all I have is an overpair or 2 pairs sometimes...

everything's good until going all in.

I like the raise, but the reraise here has to tell you you're beat.

Don't push back without a read. It's been getting me into trouble lately. At $200 a stack it gets expensive...

I'm just curious. What hand did you put your opponent on when you called the big re-raise? Situations like these further drive home the cliche of "power of position", as well.

The thing is with that hand, the good players will fold ak aq aj and such, and the bad players who overvalue them when unpaired will usually only call. So if you eliminate those 3 hands you aren't left with much that you can beat besides 99, which is the only hand someone would realistically bet that you could beat.

Now that i've given you my 2 cents i probably would have done the exact same thing haha.
