    Default AK, Sitcheyation.

    There were a few hands similar to this tonight, Here I have AKs OOP, facing a raise and reraise with Deep stacks. I didn't have any notes on either player and I have been playing pretty tight myself.

    I'm looking for thoughts on this hand in this type of situation.

    Absolute/UB Cereus No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (8 handed) - Absolute/UB Cereus Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    saw flop
    Button ($93.85)
    SB ($50)
    Hero (BB) ($92.61)
    UTG ($17.50)
    UTG+1 ($40.51)
    MP1 ($114.57)
    MP2 ($10.95)
    CO ($17.25)
    Preflop: Hero is BB with K, A
    1 fold, UTG+1 bets $1.50, Button raises to $5.25, Hero ? , UTG+1 raises to $40.51 (All-In) Button calls All in.

    meh without notes this deep I can see folding. Calling isn't that great because we don't close the action and it could be bad reverse implied odds vs/ button and we're def too deep to 4bet/get it in vs. unknowns...

    just fold, you're too deep here with the btn unless you know hes really spazzy

    fairly standard fold

    folding is completely fine. wouldn't call it standard though. def not folding if we're IP given stacks, the fact that the opener is prolly a fish and the sooooooootedness of our hand.

    No hindsight for the blind.
    Folding seems fine. How about a small 4-bet, getting it in vs opener, folding to a shove from btn?

    100% folding here, 99% folding if were IP, depends on the player 3betting

    what?

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 48.372% 35.67% 12.70% 20155302 7177563.00 { AsKs }
    Hand 1: 51.628% 38.93% 12.70% 21995604 7177563.00 { JJ+, AQs+, AKo, AdQc, AhQc, AhQd, AsQc, AsQd, AsQh }

    ^^^ i refuse to give any tighter of a range to an unknown reg, and we still have ~50% equity, IP, baby deep, with a hand that has nuts potential, with an 80bb fish coming along like always and paying us off with all sorts of dominated crap for the times when the reg whiffs and we hit. we'd REALLY have to have coldcallingaphobia to think that folding is best with any high frequency

    1. Villan is 3betting a UTG+1, and you give him JJ(QQ)/AQ in the range
    2. Noone said anything about a fish involved
    3. Reverse implied odds vs implied odds/Hand domination
    4. If this was 200nl, and we knew enough about the reg, doing shieet here would sometimes be good
    5. Its not 200nl, we dont know him
    6. Your logical thought process is skewed and implying a 80bb fish will tag along is just LOLWTF
    7. You thought about making a comeback on bad my english is but then you realized how unoriginal that is

    i had no intention of making fun of your english. i didn't notice any bad english in your post, and any instances of bad english in my own were simply due to ineptitude/writing the post too fast.

    it seems like the biggest point we disagree on is the 3b'er's range. i say that it takes a really really bad, auto-piloting, weaktight regfish (one who's bad enough to be in the minority of even 50nl regs) to not be auto-value 3b'ing QQ against an 80bb opener IP regardless of position because i'd bet a lot of money that the 80bb opener is going to have a very similar PFR/continue range from all positions.

    Folding is ok, but understand a couple of points:

    1) If you call, they will insta put you on QQ+, and postflop will play very straightforwardly. You will likely get at least a free turn, if not a free river and or showdown.

    2) 4bet to 13.95 with this hand (folding to all-in) is likely to show a profit with these stacks (hint: AK may fold).
