    Default Am I an Uber-wuss?

Well, the reason I folded this is because He would WAAAAAYYYY Overbet the pot when he had a made hand.....many people had gotten trapped by it on the river in previous hands........but still I believe it was uber-weak.

Also he would play any 2 cards that contained an Ace or a face card...so it seemed very likely he held As...

Also, I probably should have bet much heartier on the turn to find out where I really was.......So how weak was I?...and do you call?

He claimed to have had a Jc...very plausible...but not sure....

Yes I call. You've got 2nd nuts barring the str8 flush. I'd play the chance that none of your opps have the As.

There is exactly one card that makes his hand beat yours. I would call.
    Stakes: Playing $0.10/$0.25 NL

Well...I was going to have to commit my entire stack to this hand....His willingness to play any Ace and his huge overbet pattern lead me to believe he had.....is this an automatic call over the long run even if your 75% sure he has it......?

Also, I didnt see the str8 flush possibility, that didnt cross my mind, but I doubt he had that neways.....

No it isn't. You'd need at least 3:1 odds for that call. If you were 75% sure of the suit it was a good laydown.
I haven't played the micros but it is likely that any spade above a 3 makes that play.

Well....I felt my options were either push/fold here due to the fact that I would probably have to call off the rest of my chips on the river......maybe that is a bad assumption....but from previous hands he only overbet like that when he had something pretty damn juicy. But he also coulda been a total asshat making that huge overbet with Js down....

If this was HU going to the flop I think I make this call all day long, but with 4 people seeing the flop how much does that increase the odds that one of em has it?

With 24 people seeing the flop 100% but with 4. . . 11:1? He may have been thinking that same thing holding the Js.
Your laydown wasn't the worst ever b/c of his overbet. If you had the As it would've been the worst ever but w/3rd nuts and a huge overbet, not too bad to just let it go I guess.
I like to look people up once in a while and I'm willing to pay for it. . .depends on your read on the guy I guess.

Thanks 4 your insight.....Im still not sure if it was a good laydown or not, but at least your not telling me it was Terrible.....

Lol, and obviously I would be AI all day long with the As......Im not that weak...

    Thanks again.

It's tricky with players who overbet the pot to rep bluffs in situations where they wouldn't get any more money out of the other players (something I've been doing lately, and it works sometimes at NL50 even).

I think your fold is okay, but I'd lean towards a call. Your weak bet sent out a signal that either you have the As or something like a 9s. I'd check the river and if he pushes... then I'm flipping a coin. But there's a good chance that he'll check behind if he has a weaker spade.
