Default AQ: How did I do here? Should I have pushed the turn?

How did I do here Should I have pushed the turn

    0..25/0.5$ NL 10 player

Read on player UTG+2: Very loose. Bluffing often, betting hard on lowest flopped pair, calling with nothing sometimes, "Felt lucky" he said when calling an all-in preflop for 8$ with 63 suited.

I think maybe I should have pushed on the turn. I was a bit worried of his history of calling preflop raises with nothing, making a flopped 555 set possible, but after some thinking I was 80% sure that my read was correct and that I was ahead on the turn, with him holding an 8 or a draw.

I think this was ok. The call on the flop is weirdish, but I think it might have been the best play against this type of player. The bet on the turn is very good. If he has a 5, he'll likely come over the top, so you get good information out of it, and if you can get out relatively cheap. If you push and he has a 5, you're f'd. I also like just calling on the river.

His EV was pretty much even when you raised to $14 - and his personality did the rest. I don't know if I'd have picked up on that in the heat of the moment, though. Perhaps a bet of $20 or so would have made his maths/logic kick in and hand you the win. But, considering what you've already said, maybe not. It's hard for a maniac to lay down AKs.

Yup. Though, I don't like minraises. That's just one of my things.

So, you would have raised the flop more, say tree times his bet?

    Just under 3 times.

Gives the effect of 3x with a little bit of savings.
