    Default Brag: Done with NL100!

Its been 33 days since i took a 2000$ loan to jumpstart my poker career. Started off playing NL50 fullring and did ok, moved to NL100 and now i am finally playing NL200. Gonna try to keep doing 200k hands per month this year, so i hope for good fortune.

    Not so much, 3.6 NL100 and 200 together at a 135k hands sample, 2.5 at NL50 over 50k hands.

super cool zWIft. Did you start you poker career a month ago or start playing more seriously a month ago? You play almost 7000 hands a day! How many tables do you like to play at once and do you stack, tile or cascade? Are you fullring mainly or 6max? Do you have any words of wisdom for newer players trying to get their graphs headed upward?

    thank you

I started playing poker with the pokerboom in 2003, however.. I played it from time to time, live with friends, or online (10$ Buyin SNG). I started beating the 6-11$ SNGs over a decent sample and went on to 33$ turboes. I went broke.

In January 2008, i made a 300$ deposit, bought HEM and cardrunners membership. Started with NL10, then NL25 and NL50 (Shorthanded). I made about 5k$ by February. Cashed 3.5k$ out because of rl problems and gambled the other 1.5k away.

I went away from poker, didn't have income for many months, but i always knew I would atleast be a winner at NL50, so i took a 2000$ loan and deposited it in the middle of desember.

    ---

I play 20 tables at once, stacking them into two piles (upper left and right on your monitor). Since i only use Upper left and Upper right corner for tables, i have the bottom half of my screen empty. There is a great AHK script out there which i highly recommends for multitablers, that allows you to bring tables to given positions on your screen with a single click. This helps me bring tables that needs more attention down on the screen so i can make up my mind with good time even tho i multitable.

I used to play shorthanded. But I'm used to playing games that require alot of fast actions (Like Warcraft 3). So I've always been a multitabler. I can't sit down playing 4 tables, impossible. And i think there is only a handfull of people that can play 6max profitable at NL100+ with more than 9 tables open. I know my max limit is 9 tables for 6max. So because i can get in more hands per hour, and FR has less variance in general, i decided to play FR instead of SH.

    Wow, wisdom words?

If your totally new to the game, you should invest your money in cardrunners or other training sites, and holdemmanager/pt3. Your money is much better spent giving yourself education than using it at NL50/100 tables. I would much rather have cr/hem and start at NL10/25 than having none and starting at NL50/100.

If there is a advice i would like to give to breakeven or slightly winning players it would be to identify people whom are setmining you and fold your big pocket pairs to their aggression. I used to stack of in these situations and this has improved my game alot. The second advice i would like to give to those players is make yourself able to Bet/fold the river. I used to having problems in these spots, telling myself i would fold to a reraise but ended up calling because "he might be bluffing". The third thing, and this might be very obvious to some people.. But its very profitable and some of the beginning players might not realizing it; When a fishy player bets pot on river on a somewhat drawy board, its always a bluff.. However, if he pots it when the draw completes I've found out the expensive way that he got it =)

its 3:20am here and english is not my native language so sorry for that =)

oh and btw, the advices was some general advices. You should always think of hand ranges and if a draw isnt in the range of the fish he obviously has you beat.

Also, if you can grind 200k hands/month, wouldn't attempting SNE on Stars be a decent idea for you?

It would be a good idea, if it wasn't for me being a total retard at the age of 17/18 playing stars SNG with some friends. Had AA vs his KK and folded preflop. Result; Lifeban
