I bet $4 on the flop for pot control, balance, etc. With a little less in the pot, an $8 turn bet doesn't look so weak and I get away here certain I'm beat.

If I think he's capable of giving me grief, I would just check the turn. At this level the draw + chump factor makes this a turn bet for me.
