At 50NL (50c/25c blinds) on another crappy site with no hand histories...

2 folds, 2 calls, I call Ah 5h, SB raises (minimum) to $1, rest fold, limpers all call, I call.

Flop: Kh Kc 8h ($4.50 pot, 4 players)

SB leads out $4.5, 2 limpers fold, I call.

    Turn: 6c ($13.50, 2 players)

SB checks, I bet $7, SB raises minimum to $14, I call

    River: 3d ($41.50 pot, 2 players)

    SB checks, I bet $25...

My line from the flop onwards was to represent the king and be able to fall back on the flush draw, unless it was painfully obvious that SB had the king (which I doubted based on his pot-sized cbet).

On the turn I figured maybe he was stop 'n going with a king, but at that point I was getting 5-1 on my flush draw. Sure some outs might not be clean, but there's always a chance he has 99-QQ and an ace would win it for me. I also had position on him.

Then he checked the river making it look like an abandoned bluff, so I fired out a "value bet".
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Looks like a weak king to me.

I try this sometimes and usually get a call.

I can't even fold guys when four hearts are on the board and they don't have one, they have middle pair.

If it succeeds very often it's profitable, but it's high variance.

Fold the flop or raise it. Dont call here. It's bad.

Reasons for a fold: You need outstanding odds to chase a flush or straight on a broadway paired board. I might fold in this spot unless I get at least one other caller before me.

Reasons for a raise: If your opponent is tight enough to fold without the K (even while holding a pocket pair), and you have outs. Also know as you have better than average fold equity against this opponent.

You don't want to stick around here against smart aggressive players. They'll committ you while your behind.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.
