Default Correct play this once; but in the long run????

Here's my first post. I haven't worked out the hand history thing so Forgive any mistakes.
    Blinds $0.05-$0.10
HERO on the button. 1st Position moves all-in for $.45. 2nd, 3rd position call. HERO Looks down at Ah Qc. HERO calls.

    ($1.95) Flop 2c 7s Qd.
It is checked round to HERO. HERO bets $1.50. 2nd position calls. 3rd folds.
Here I'm worried about an overpair. Unlikely as it is.
Two blanks came off on the turn and river. No flush, no straight posibility's.
Both 2nd and HERO check it down.
Was this to passive? Genuine worry ut no real read that 2nd position had AA or KK. In the end He showed Kings. But in the long run was this the right play. And do you think a player in a $10 buyin game would fold an over pair under any conditions?

It all depends on your reads.

If you've been watching your opponent and you see that he's a total calling station, then you should've bet all streets.
If you've been watching your opponent and you see that he only ever bets with the nuts, and checks down very good hands, then you palyed it fine.

Remember to watch your opponents habits and how they play, it'll help you make more money!

yeah, at least bet the river after he checks the turn. I usually bet the turn and river though

    No.

Why were you so scared of losing?

My main fear stemmed from the fact that the table had been playing extremely tight, suggesting someone had a good hand, and probably was accentuated by the fact I had just got even and was therefore suffering from the 'don't want to go down again' mental block that I occasionally suffer from.

If the table is so tight you need to fear AQo on a Qxx being good then find a new table, it's not worth it at these stakes.

Don't try to bluff players off a hand as good as an over-pair at micro stakes.

I'm having a hard time seeing how you can put this guy on KK. The preflop raise to him was only 5x BB, he didn't reraise, and he c / c the entire hand after that. Honestly if anything I'd put him on JJ just because most players at this stake are calling stations with a high pocket pair with one overcard on board
