Default Crying call or just plain cry?

5 max $50 NL at Paradise.
T6o in the BB, several limpers. Pretty loose, passive, chaser type table.

Flop comes 789 rainbow. I've got a Str8, but I could be up against JT. I have to bet it though, no doubt. Near pot sized bet by me gets 2 callers.

Turn card is a blank. 60% pot bet gets 2 callers again.

River comes with a NINE. Ouch...now I have to worry about JT and the boat.

I check. BOTH of the other two go all-in, my stack covers them both.

I need to call $45 to win about a $170 pot.
I'm getting 4:1 on my money with a call.
My only hope is that they each have 3 nines. It is by far more likely that at least one of them has a boat or the higher Str8.

Is this a crying call, or a fold (and cry)?

I'll post the outcome after I get a few opinions.

you're beat, but without a good read you need to call here.

When you get to know a player and also know that he wouldn't make that play without the goods, you can fold, but until then you play the odds.
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately

    I made a crying call.

First guy flips over K9o, and my heart skips a beat....just maybe.....

    Second guy flips over JT

    Suprisingly, no boats

I still have mixed feelings on whether a call is right even at 4:1....

Without a great read I suppose it is.

That sucks. Probably a crying call but you know you're losing that more than half the time, easy.

this is one of those hands where you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. The times you don't call, no one has you beat, the times you do call, your midlevel straight is beat (case in point, here)

Not sure I agree with that. On the turn I'm still fairly confident I'm ahead. There's no boat possibility yet. Why should I check the turn and give any Str8 draws/boat draws a free card? I'm only scared of JT on the turn, and there's a lot more possible hands that the 2 calls on the flop could represent than just JT. While I'm still not sure if I like my call on the river (but I think pot odds probably dictate it), I think my play on the other streets was fine...
