My feeling about it now is that I shouldn't have bet and should have just called anything he put out, but I feel that the end result would have been the same.

You shouldn't have called the raise and reraise preflop.

That being said, once the turn comes, you have second nuts and are committed; you have to lose your stack come the turn.

KJ shouldn't call raises PF.
