Did I make the right move?

To summarize, I had a pair of ladies and I raise and get 4 callers. The flop gives me set of queens, some guy to my left goes all in and I go all in to keep the third guy from calling. It turned out the guy that went all-in originally flopped a straight. He was playing short stacked though so his all in didn't make me lose all that much $. Is this what you would have done?

Yeap this is how i play it. I will pay off the str8. Plus you have outs with a paired board.

I guess the fact that he added only $0.80 by going all in (the pot was close to $1 at this point) made it easy for me to go over the top and make the other guy fold. How about if he had $5 (the table max) like I did? Do I still make the call or lay it down? Now that I think of it, it was pretty lucky for me that he was playing with a short stack. I think I would have made the same move regardless of how much he had.

I personally still make that play, at these micro limit levels, he might bet all in on the draw too.

You hit the set, you made your hand. You have to play it.

And once again if he does flip over the str8, you have the out's (7 after the flop, 10 after the turn)

Tried to do the same last night and ended up being payed off by the third guy huge. $50 NL at absolute, I raise KK to $1 and get two callers (I am acting between them, the one acting first has only $4 left and the other had $30 or sth). Flop comes Kh Qh 8s. Short stack goes all-in. I figure he has a flush draw and raise his $4 to $15 to isolate him. Then the other guy goos all-in over the top of me for $30. I happily call and hope a 3rd heart doenst fall. Short stack turns over Ace-rag (never mind that :P) and the other guy AJo for a gutshot straight?!?! What could he put me on to do this move? I know that he may "read" my isolation play but wtf he was beat even by a pair of 2s...

I guess the consensus is to be prepared to push all in with trips pretty much regardless of what's on the board. I guess when it comes down to it, unless your opponent got a miracle flop (as in my case), you're favored to win. What it comes down to is that you'll lose money playing perfect poker sometimes. It's just the nature of the game.

what do you expect you are playing for pennies. people are goign to call with anything all the time. dont be too suprised. i dont really think having a strategy or using pot odds or anything is usefull at these limits

Yeah not to offend but you can't expect people to play solid poker when they are sitting with a buck. I mean, it's a buck. You make take it seriously but I'm thinking this is mostly just people goofing around. I'd play it like a home game, have fun with it.

I thought about that only after I pushed all in. Maybe next time I'll just call and make it seem like I'm on a draw so the second opponent feels the need to bet into me.
