Default Did I play these too slow?

Happened one right after the other (2 tables). Was my flop play here too passive?

Hand 1: You raised preflop and got a raggy raggy flop... make them pay on the flop. If you get checked to in this situation at this level, it's most likely because they've got two highish cards or a draw want cheap cards. Make them pay for it with a bigger bet, like 3/4 to pot sized. If you get raised, then it comes down to reads and how big the raise is... would they call preflop raises with a 3? Are they weak/passive? Have you seen them playing small pockets like this? Are they donkeys or thinkers? A lot of the time at this level, you'll see pocket pairs that barely beat the board check raising you AI.

    Hand 2:
Bet a bit more on the flop. Bet a bit more on the turn. Good check behind on the river.

I actually thought I was extracting more money in each case. I've been trying to maximize my hands a llittle more becuase I haven't been getting paid off at all lately. It's quite comical that people are calling that preflop raise with A rag offsuit. What the hell do they think I'm raising with? These are basically the only boards they can hope for with their hand. I guess that's why we play.

Hand 1: I have no idea why you decided to get wacky on the river. What hand is going to call you? Don't you see your opponent is value betting YOU on the turn and river? I feel behind here and maybe cry and call.

Hand 2: Slowplaying top pair of jacks should only be done occassionally as a deceptive change up. You have two middle broadways on the board. Next card easily beats you if the opponent has KQ. Play it fast. Rake the raised pot.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

    Thanks.

Hand 1, I should have bet more on the flop, but I really didn't expect him to hold a 3. I thought he had A and high kicker or an overpair < QQ. The same thought when the 2 hit. I guess I gave him too much credit after calling $1.50.

Hand 2 - I was gonna take it down on the turn if the board didn't scare. But the 3rd club came out so I bet less. I almost always bet full pot on the flop, but I did want to mix it up because I was betting lower when I DID hit to make more money. I didn't want people to see a pattern of full pot = missed, less than full = hit.

Lessons learned. I was doing better when I was playing more aggressive instead of trying to squeeze water from a stone. Both these guys fold if I bet the pot on the flop. The first guy told me he would have.

The reason slowplaying is usually incorrect is because it screws your read more than it screws theirs.
