    Your preflop and flop betting was fine.

    I would have pushed on the turn however, checking was just leading you right into a sticky situation. If he sets you all in then what?

    Gotta show a lot of aggression.

    You should bet the turn with a flush draw on the board that just missed (in theory). If he did have one spade, and you bet high enough on the turn you would have scared him away most likely. By checking, you give him one more card to make the flush. Of course he didn't have it but you have to look at it that way.
