I think both these guys have very strong hands by what happens on the flop. After all those raises you have to think someone probably has an Ace high flush, and even if no one does which is improbable... you are still up against trips which you still have a 33% chance or so to be beat by.
  3. #3
i dont understand your logic on the set...i want them to have sets and ONLY have 33% chance of beating me....
  4. #4
Yes. ONLY because you had an AI and a call of the AI in front of you. Every now and then you get a fish with a weaker flush make that move but generally 2 AI's in front, someone has nuts.

Preflop action was funny because you would put someone on a better hand than was the case might fing As moving AI on that flop hoping to back door which would justify the call.

All in all not a horrible call with second nut flop.

On flop your reaise told them you had a hand and yet you had an AI and a call before you committed so fold is not a bad option.
Send lawyers, guns and money - the sh*t has hit the fan!

    fuslowly: raises to $48.38

This is where You needed to cut bait... After all that dancing, you have to put them on something. K high flush is a hard hand to lay down, but you gotta believe that One of the two others has Axs... Two Sets aren't going to go that aggressive on a flushed board like that...normally.

Again though, this is a very difficult laydown, and I can't say that it is a - or + EV move to call or not here... With a deep stack like yours, the implied odds are so good, I don't think I can fold this ever... Argh, tough choice...
    Hey knucklehead! Bonk!

yeah i really felt that fuslowly had me beat, but i couldnt be sure that he had the one hand that beat me. dariusk was a retard and i knew i had him by the balls...the only reason he was still around was cause he sucked out on me with T9 v my A9 on a 993 flop.

im starting to get to the level where im pretty sure i know what people have but i dont have the confidence to lay down hands such as sets and 2nd nut flushes...oh well, maybe with more time.

You're beating TT/44/22/AsT/smaller flush... all of which would play it out this way, imo. I don't see a fold here.

^ how is his king high beating trips on the flop?

Dude, you have to understand something:
You did not have the nut flush draw, anyone with the nut flush draw has you beat.

    firewire: raises to $4
    DariusK: calls $2.50
    fuslowly: raises to $8.50
    firewire: raises to $15
DariusK: raises to $31.69 and is all-in
    fuslowly: raises to $48.38
firewire: raises to $137.52 and is all-in

This first raise is fine because it's a good opportunity to gain the aggressional position for the turn. Once you are re-raised and re-raised and re-raised however, a trigger in your head should have been set off telling you that someone has hit to flop in a good way.

Pushing All-In is the best way to win a pot. Pushing All-In with the 2nd nut flush against two other players who are obviously in the pot for the long haul is going to loose you money.

"^ how is his king high beating trips on the flop? "

From what I gathered on the back of a bicycle card, a king high flush beats trips.

    firewire: raises to $4
    DariusK: calls $2.50

this is the key point in the hand IMO. One of the only hands he's just going to flat call here with and reraise all in later is an Ace high flush.

I never, ever find a fold here. I'll pay ace-high flushes with king-high flushes every day and twice on Sunday.

Do you fold boats to quads, also?

I think most of the posters here are taking results into account. I'd post this without results next time and see how different the responses are.

You're beating every other made flush, all of which (should) play this way.

The guy flat calling the 2.50 and later reraising does not show he has the ace-high flush, it shows he has the flush.

Yeah 6max 50NL I'd pay this off too.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.
