exploit weak tight in fr

So basically i'm a full ring player, started at $2nl and now at $25nl or $20 nl depends on the site.

So how i've built my bankroll is by playing TAG poker and having good table selection. I basically make all my money off the LAG and the calling stations. I don't play games under 30% p/f. What I don't like is i always have to wait till the peak hours to find these games in smaller sites like cd poker ( where i'm working off another bonus ).

I know a lot of people don't mind playing weak tight games, but I never seem to make money at those games.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to exploit those tables? What should i loosen my range to? ( right now, i play with Renton's fr range. ) How I should change my playing style, etc.

The main adjustments are to just go really nuts with stealing in small pots from the Button and Cut Off. The main tip Id give though is to figure out what kind of nits youre playing against and figure out how they react to steals, then figure out the common sense way to exploit it.

A couple of examples of pretty common nitty responses are:

Do they fold a tonne and never adjust? - Steal almost any 2 from the button and still steal a tonne from the CO. If you can get away with it, drop your PFR size down to 2.5bb or even 2bb to give yourself the best odds.

Do they adjust by calling a lot preflop and still folding a lot when they miss? Keep stealing a tonne, and keep your raise size relatively large. Youre building a pot that you will take with a cbet or turn barrel a lot.

Probably the most important thing to remember is that you are beating these guys by figuring out what pots you can get away with stealing when you both miss, and by staying out of the way when he finally gets his AA. Just because you would be looking to play back at you doesnt mean the 10/8 is. Its really easy to go losing a big pot with TPGK or bottom 2 pair when they finally get a hand.

Also, you should still be trying to play this game in a lot of your "good" games. Some of the best games have nits in the blinds to your button, and a few fish in the CO/MP/ whatever. When the fish limp you isoraise and profit, when the fish fold you blindsteal and profit.

Btw please dont take this to mean always fire a turn barrel. The fact that youre against someone who usually folds and has now called preflop and on the flop means his range is going to be decently strong. But Im talking about spots where e.g.

You raise T 7 on the button and one of the nits calls.

The flop comes 9 5 3

You cbet. This flop doesnt hit a traditional raising range, so if hes started to adjust by calling more preflop then he can have hands like 9Ts, 56s, 88, A3s? 78s? 9Js?, as well as the "good" hands. Basically quite a few weakish pairs he can call this flop with fairly often.

When the K comes on the turn, almost all of his 1 pair hands are now underpairs to a card that hits a traditional preflop raising range. When you bet this turn his nitty tendancies are going to take over and hes going to have a very hard time calling with something like 9x or worse, and his gutshots are probably folding too. You might even get the flush draw or OESD to fold with a turn bet.

I made a big realization about table selection about a year ago. Before, I would just play the tables that had the biggest average pot or most players per flop.

I now realize that is stupid, because a lot of those tables were just of regs. The ONLY thing I look for in a table now is if there someone who didn't buy in full or a full stack with a baby avatar, etc.

Every man and his dog knows you steal blinds with a weak range from CO & BT & SB in today's games at least on pokerstars now. It made me a sad panda when 11/8 nits start 3-betting vs my SB or BT raise. Weak tight FT tables will vanish in the foreseeable future imo and 3 betting/ 4 betting seems to become the new trend lately between regulars So the best you can do is probably adjust yourself to any table dynamics, game flow, players' tendencies,etc.
